We go to commercial, and come back to a recap of what just took place because WWE assumes we all have short term memory loss.  (see what I did there?)

Anyhow, we’re told from Hoeskie herself that tonight we will be holding qualifying matches to determine the next #1 contender for the WWE Title at Over the Limit in three weeks.  It will be a “Beat the Clock” challenge.  A Beat The Clock challenge is how you manage to get many matches in one show without working anybody too much.  The crowd buys into it, so it’s a win-win.

Eve wearing glasses just makes glasses look dumb.  She’s not smart as a character, let’s not try to change that huh?  Our first match will be between the Miz and Santino.  Santino retained his US Title last night over the Miz.  So, uh…sure, whatever.

They start the clock in the first of FIVE Who Gives A Shit matches tonight.  Seriously, was anyone looking forward to this matchup?  Anyone?  Thank you.

And in 4:18 seconds, the Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale to win the match and become the first in line for a title shot.  Well, providing that nobody can beat his time.  Can you think of a time in history when the first guy to fight in a Beat The Clock challenge actually won it?  Me either.

But we go to commercial instead.

This match was, well, um, uh….a match.  I’m getting tired of Santino’s Cobra finally.  I think it’s because he’s holding a title belt and fighting half-decent competitors for a change in meaningful matchups.  It’s a silly finisher and should be used by a silly character who has silly matches.  Not by a champion in title matches.  Just sayin.

Overall Grade:  1half1 RAW Regurgitation Extreme People Power Edition  Why such a low score?  Santino in a match for a feud that will go absolutely nowhere.  Soon the US Title will be forgotten again.  And that, friends, makes me sad.

Keep reading, there’s plenty more where this came from
