As we return, we’re greeted by vacation slide recaps of the Divas championship match in which Beth Phoenix was not medically cleared to compete and Hoeski assigned a returning Layla to take her place against the Diva Champion “Bella #1″. Layla of course won the belt and tonight’s match is a rematch for the title.
So the match starts, I blinked and I freaking missed it. Layla got the roll up pin and it was over just like that. On one hand, Layla. On the other hand? Everything else that makes this so shitty to witness.
Even the commentators were at a loss, so they talked about Brock some more, and finally Jericho’s music comes on to distract us all. He’ll be facing the Big Show in a Beat The Clock matchup.
Now this is a match you can get behind. They’ve got a true history from when they were Tag Team champs together and broke up badly. Show owes Jericho for the poor treatment. And he deserves a little payback.
Finally a little wrestling on our vacation slide show program.
They fight and it’s good. Jericho can make dogshit look good, and Big Show has been more and more athletic as of late. And in the end, it was a fun match that the referee botched the finish for. Time expired, but Jericho got in the ring before the ref finished a 10-count. The buzzer went off and for some reason, the Ref tried to raise Jericho’s hand.
In a Beat the Clock match, if you don’t get the win prior to the buzzer going off, you lose. Both guys lose. There are no winners, the match is over. Christ, didn’t anyone brief the new guy? Ugh.

Yup, good match, but too short and frankly the Divas bullshit prior left a bad taste in my mouth for this one. Sorry to hold it against you Jeri-Show, but thems the breaks. They go to commercial as we go to the next page!
