Christian comes out to face The Miz. Cody Rhodes is at the announce table for this match. And you know? Christian needs to stay in the mid-card forever. He made the Miz look like a damn fine wrestler tonight. That’s hard to do because Miz isn’t much of a wrestler. He’s definitely more on the side of “entertainment” in the Sports Entertainment business.
Anyhow, during the match, Lawler is steady bagging on Cody about losing the title to Christian. Asking him what it’s like to lose. Reminding him that he lost, just tearing the boy apart. So I guess we’ll have a Cody vs. Jerry grudge match at some freakin’ point. GAH!
Anyways, it’s a fun match, both guys worked great and Christian won via Killswitch and Frog Splash. Miz did a good job tonight. It’s about time he got back to being respectable instead of an
afterbirth afterthought in the WWE.
Backstage Big Johnny, Otunga and Eve are having a private meeting. Big Johnny is disappointed in them because:
- Otunga lost to Cena’s STF almost immediately while Big Johnny managed to withstand 20 second’s worth.
- Eve failed to get Sheamus to apologize on Smackdown.
Johnny’s not going to be around forever and he needs solid, dependable assholes to fill his shoes in 10 – 20 years. And these are the assholes he wants in charge.
