For as little as Teddy was on screen, I thought maybe he died but they had already advertised him, so they pulled a "Weekend At Bernie's" type thing.
The show opened with Nickelback and the announcement that our General Manager, Theodore Long, has already set the main event match. And that match will be: ”John Cena teaming up with CM Punk to face Daniel Bryan and Chris Jerichoooooo!” Teddy always makes tag matches. Teddy is getting on my damn nerves.
So Cena comes out to chat with us a while. I was less than enthused. He tells us that after what happened last week when Big Show dropped a leg on him whilst in the Walls of Jericho, that he had a right to be bitter. A right to be vengeful, to be ANGRY!!!! But no, no no no no, John decided to look at the positive side of things. To “rise above hate” if you will, and he looked at it as a learning experience. Holy shit, he’s a saint!
So this goes on for a while, and Daniel Bryan comes YES’ing out to the ring. They have words regarding the WWE Championship and who will be holding the belt vs. who will be holding the briefcase and they embrace. Wait, no, they didn’t embrace.
Punk came out, along with Jericho. In the interest of full disclosure, my signal went out for a minute or two here. It was the BEST part of this entire promo for me. No audio, no video, just silence. And it was well written silence, I might add. But anyhow, it didn’t last long and everyone was talking about everyone else. Jericho started up with his old catchphrases. ”Eeeeeeeeever A-Gayn!” blah blah. Hell, he was so impressed with himself that after the show he tweeted about it:
Did u guys dig the catch phrase off? It was fun to dust off those old chestnuts…and do a new one!#youneedsomeextraarrowsinurquiverkid#Raw

#Idontthinkheunderstandshowhashtagswork. But nonetheless, it was classic Jericho for a minute. Then Kane came out, followed by Big Show. Big brawl in the ring, and boom! It’s over. Big Show done killed everyone y’all.
Frankly, I was relieved to go to commercial break.
